When we were contracted in 2007 to create this lighthouse for the harbor in Rockwall, Texas outside of Dallas, we rose to the challenge that their location presented. Form and function were paramount. It had to be the focal point of a already ambitious project at the harbor. The lighthouse we created pulls everything together at the site. We were contracted to create a Authentic 19th century lantern room for one of the Midwest's most successful developers. They built the brick tower, which is a replica of a Lake Michigan island lighthouse, but were stuck with the architects vision of a wooden lantern room, railings and deck. So we proposed our vision of a true authentic steel lantern, railing and cast concrete deck to cap their tower. Anything less would be unacceptable for such a ambitious project. The impact is still alive today, it has become a premier location. Both the above projects exceeded the developers intended expectations and shined a light onto their vision and foresight for success.
